Mike Mullen Visits Israel

Tel Aviv, an important U.S. military official, Admiral Mike Mullen, held talks in Tel Aviv with Israeli Minister of Defense Ehud Barak and other important members of the Israeli military.
A U.S. embassy spokesman said, Mullen is a visit to Israel, also held meetings and talks with the Israeli military joint chiefs Gaby Ashkenazi, as quoted from the AFP.
Mullen, the U.S. joint chief of staff, also met with representatives of Ashkenazi, Benny Ganz, and navy chief Eliezer Marom.
"They will talk about military cooperation between the U.S. and Israel, as well as common security challenges", said a military statement.
Some defense officials quoted by the Jerusalem Post said Mullen meetings and conversations focused on Iran's nuclear program and the situation in Syria and Lebanon.
They also discussed the deteriorating relations between Israeli and Turkish naval attacks immediately after the May 31, which will bring disaster to the fleet of aid to the Gaza Strip, which caused nine Turkish activists were killed.
